BR Specialists (BRS) continues to lead the way in providing essential Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression (PMVA) training across the UK with, this month, a focus on Train the Trainer courses for higher education.

As we approach September, our commitment to empowering higher education institutions remains stronger than ever, with a packed schedule of courses all over the UK delivering our flagship healthcare train the trainer course.

Our brimming September calendar includes:

  • A comprehensive 3-day course at a University in Cumbria

  • An intensive 5-day Train the Trainer course in Cardiff

  • An additional 1-day course back in Cumbria

  • .. and in early October will see us in Huddersfield for another higher education institution

Nick Attard, General Manager at BRS, explains more:

"The demand for Train the Trainer courses has skyrocketed because higher education institutions recognise the long-term benefits. By equipping their staff with the skills to deliver PMVA training, they create a sustainable model of ongoing education that's tailored to their specific needs - whilst keeping the long term costs of delivery in-house"

PMVA training so crucial for healthcare students. Whether they're studying to become occupational therapists, physical therapists, paramedics, nurses, or doctors, these future healthcare professionals need to be prepared for the challenges they may face in their careers. PMVA training provides them with the skills to de-escalate potentially violent situations and protect themselves and their patients if prevention fails.

At BRS in addition to the train the trainer courses we offer direct delivered courses. Our expert trainers come to your institution to provide hands-on training directly to your students. This ensures that students receive top-quality instruction from experienced professionals - and the Higher Education institution themselves can focus on their key educational expertise.

For those organisations that prefer the train the trainer model,  in addition to the core offering we offer annual refresher courses for your trainers.

Nick Attard, General Manager, on the value of Refresher Train-the-Trainer courses:

"Refresher courses are essential for keeping trainers up-to-date with the latest safety techniques and legislative changes. They ensure that your trainers not only maintain their skills but also stay informed about new developments, providing the highest quality training to others."

As we continue our mission to create safer healthcare environments, we invite higher education institutions to partner with us.

Whether you need direct training for your students or want to empower your staff to become trainers themselves, BRS is here to support you. If you'd like to talk through the benefits and costs for both models, please do reach out.

Together, we can ensure that the next generation of healthcare professionals is well-prepared to handle the challenges of their chosen careers.
